Community Clean-Up Events Encouraging Civic Engagement
I joined a bc local clean-up event in Kelowna last weekend and, honestly, I didn’t expect it to be so fulfilling. I signed up last-minute just to try something different, but it ended up being such a positive experience. We collected bags of litter from a small park by the lake that I always walk by, and now it looks amazing. Plus, I met a few people from my area I’d never talked to before. Does anyone else here take part in these community events? I'd love to hear what it's like in other parts of BC.

I was walking through a park the other day and saw a group doing a clean-up, too. I didn’t stop, but it was nice to see people coming together to take care of public spaces. Makes you feel like the community really cares. Maybe I’ll join one next time.
